We work primarily with Pro Tools | Studio. However, we are also able to receive sessions and files embedded in either Logic Pro, Reaper, Studio One or UAD Luna.

We are accepting any modern platforms chosen on your end to deliver your files. The platforms we are currently working with are WeTransfer, Google Drive, iCloud Shared Folders and Dropbox. We are using Samply for all of our file management, production and mixing revisions as well as final masters delivery.

Just as with any other service and booking, the terms and conditions will apply in the same way. However, things will indeed differ on how to properly execute a remote production work. We make sure to work hand on hand with you on keeping all details check such as time zones, gear setup and platform to choose. We currently work with Sessionwire to handle all of our remote production work. This platform allows us to stream high quality audio on both ends as well as high quality screen capture and camera to create the feel of working in the same room. We also combine Sessionwire with our latest discovery Samply; a web based app that allows for fast production, mixing and file management organisation on your phone, tablet, Mac or PC.

Once we receive your information we will get in touch with you via e-mail for a consultancy meeting that can be in person, or online. If the meeting is online, we can use either of these videoconferencing platforms: FaceTime Discord Zoom WhatsApp We’ll send you a link to either platform previously agreed on with time and date along with instructions on how to get the best out of the meeting on your end.

All of our services require a 30% upfront deposit fee that’s taken out of the given quote of the service. If your service is quoted at 300€, you must deposit the 30% of the cost prior to the beginning of the service. Deposits are not refundable as these ensure you that The Gemz Studios will reserve your desired time slots for your service to be completed successfully. As for payments, you can opt in to pay a full upfront fee including deposits in which case only the 70% remaining is refundable. You can also opt in to pay half upfront of the service cost including deposit which can also be refunded minus deposit fees.

Depending on the nature of your project we may add hourly rates or not to the overall cost. If, you're working an entire production then hourly rates won't be a matter of consideration as the time for the production is already taken into account when setting up a project deadline and budget estimates. However, if you're looking for recording services only we will apply hourly rates to the time spent in the studio or in location if required. Beat-making is not currently available as a service at The Gemz Studios as we do not sell beats on the web or to artists. However, we do have the ability to cowrite with the artist that chooses to work with us. This way we are contributing on creating something that’s unique and has less chance of being plagiarised or downloaded from another artist from a YouTube channel as an example.

Yes, you can absolutely choose not to master the final mix by our team or our collaborators. This also applies to album mixing as well as single mixing.

Yes, under certain terms and conditions. If the contract that’s been settled between The Gemz Studios and the artist specifies that mixing and mastering duties will be delegated to a different engineer from the start, then The Gemz Studios will gladly deliver the files to a different studio to be mixed and mastered. However, the contract also specifies that crediting The Gemz Studios properly is mandatory on those tasks that have been taken care of by the company.
